MICRO INDUSTRIES ANNOUNCES FIRST EVERNLX DUAL PENTIUM II MOTHERBOARD

Westerville, Ohio, July 20, 1998

Micro Industries Corporation today announced the 686PCI/64N3C, the first Dual Pentium II motherboard in NLX format. Micro Industries is a full-service company that provides electronic engineering and manufacturing resources to OEMs.

The 686PCI/64N3C is an NLX motherboard that can be used for desktop as well as embedded applications. The product is based on Intel's latest technology for processors and chipsets, which supports Dual Processor Technology, AGP (Accelerated Graphics Port) Video Bus, and 100MHz SDRAM, for the maximum performance available. Its foundation on the NLX form factor also allows greater flexibility in system integration, product maintenance, and field upgrades.

"The 686PCI/64N3C was designed with all of the advantages of a passive backplane - ease of maintenance and long term product support - as well as direct access to the latest Intel technology available for the desktop," stated Michael Curran, CEO of Micro Industries. "This new motherboard will provide OEMs and existing NLX users who have demanding applications such as imaging, video servers, Internet and Intranet servers, and telephony with greater speed, flexibility and power."

"The NLX format offers a foundation for system design that is available to the whole industry," continued Curran. "The NLX, in addition to the Dual Pentium II and BX chipset, make this board an innovative and powerful solution that could become an industry standard."
