MICRO INDUSTRIES® INTRODUCES STUNNING 82-INCH MULTI-TOUCH RETAIL DISPLAY AND COMPUTER

TOUCH&GO® MULTI-TOUCH MESSENGER 82 ENABLED WITH INTEL® ACTIVE MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGY

Las Vegas, NV, February 24, 2010

Micro Industries® today introduced the Touch&Go® Multi-Touch Messenger 82, the largest, most eye-catching member of its Messenger line of retail displays. This all-in-one system features a Samsung, full-high-definition, 82-inch LCD with a multi-touch interactive touch screen elevating interaction with consumers to a whole new level. Digital Signage Expo (DSE) attendees can view the system at the Intel Corporation exhibit, booth #1223.

"Retailers are eternally looking for ways to capture consumers' attention," said Michael Curran, chief executive officer of Micro Industries, the leader in interactive computer products. "Our remarkable new Multi-Touch Messenger 82 couples Samsung's largest commercial LCD with Intel® Core™ i7 Processor and Microsoft's Windows® Embedded Standard 2011. This makes it ideal for any large, open retail space, such as a mall, airport concourse, or department store. The Multi-Touch Messenger 82 is perfect for both display and highly interactive digital signage applications."

Powered by Intel

Manufactured in Micro's Westerville, Ohio, plant, the Messenger 82 continues the Touch&Go® heritage of stunning picture quality, high performance, and elegant platinum styling. The Intel® Core™ i7 processors deliver breakthrough performance and improved power efficiency. The 82-inch display is also equipped with Intel® Active Management Technology, which provides remote management capabilities, reduces down time, and lowers overall costs.

"With the Intel® Core™ i7 processor, the Multi-Touch Messenger 82 can deliver outstanding overall performance per watt while enabling an enhanced customer retail experience," said Jose Avalos, Intel's digital signage director. "These processors offer lower energy consumption and coupled with Intel® Active Management Technology they can lower the total cost of ownership (TCO) of leading-edge retail technology via™ intelligent remote management and repair capabilities."

Extra-large, HD Marketing

The Messenger 82 has a 1080p, ultra-bright LCD with a viewing angle of 176 degrees, a 160-gigabyte hard drive, and a DVD/CDRW drive. Options include an IR multi-touch interactive touch screen, internal stereo speakers, and a TV tuner. A protective glass panel makes the LCD practical and easy to clean in high-traffic environments.

Micro's new retail computer provides outstanding picture quality when displaying full HD content, thanks to low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) technology that drives the flat-panel LCD directly from the motherboard. "The clarity is amazing-it's like looking at real life," says Curran. "It's significantly better than connecting a computer to a standard TV."

The Multi-Touch Messenger 82 is retail-ready for interactive consumer solutions, self-service applications, digital signage, store maps, advertising, messaging, product information, and demonstrations. With simple, elegant mounting options, it can be hung from a ceiling or on a wall. The unit measures 79.7" high, 46.2" wide, and just 7.5" deep.

Dynamic Digital Media on Very Large Screens

Micro's affiliate company, mCosm®, helps maximize investment in the Multi-Touch Messenger 82 and other Touch&Go computers. mCosm software lets retailers create, manage, deploy, and change their digital media on the fly without expensive, third-party intervention.

The mCosm solution couples broadcast television, closed-circuit video, and digital signage, plus interactivity. The company offers the most innovative and comprehensive selection of in-store interactive retail marketing solutions available today.
