Increasing In-Store Sales with Touch&Go Digital Signage
A major technology shift is underway, and it's giving retailers more control!
Integrating digital signage and interactive computers, Touch&Go Digital Signage is specifically designed and manufactured to solve the most costly problems facing retailers. This unified retail solution, based on embedded Intel® processors, is retail-hardened and meets the quality and long-term reliability expectations of the most demanding retail chains. Retailers can leverage mCast a software package that allows retailers to create, manage, deploy and change digital signage “on the fly”. These capabilities are the foundation for Micro Industries' Strategic Retail Technology Solution, a shopping experience that can minimize lost sales opportunities and improve customer satisfaction.
Touch&Go Digital Signage gives retailers and others control over:
- The way media content is delivered to customers
- Media customization and the messages they want to deliver to their customers
- Content playback, when they want it and exactly where they want it
- Reducing their costs of maintaining digital signage programs over time
- Solution scalability with a roadmap for growth that doesn't require scrapping their initial investment
- The technology, the technology doesn’t control them
Our unique combination of captivating digital signage, interactive computers and easy-to-use content development software enables retailers to customize services and messaging. The Touch&Go digital signage solution is a configurable computer system specifically designed to provide relevant information and services to shoppers.
Many digital signage companies work on an advertising model that does not require retailers to pay for the equipment. Instead, the systems are financed by the participating advertisers who pay television advertising rates based on views-per-minute. The content is broadcast rather than narrowcast, meaning one feed is played at all locations. A drawback of the advertising model is that retailers can't influence the content or even produce the content themselves and ensure it's relevant to their customer base. Using low cost thin clients, with low local processing capability, thin clients basically display content relying on back office servers for application and video processing duties. Since they are totally dependent on network resiliency, any lapse in network operation causes service applications to malfunction.
The Touch&Go digital signage solution uses the processing power of full-function PCs and facilitates a “narrowcast” model that enables retailers to provide customized digital signage at every single touch point without consuming a lot of networking bandwidth. In contrast, thin clients normally employ a “broadcast” model, where each station receives the same content, which consumes valuable network bandwidth; this can pose a problem for stores with limited network infrastructure.
